William Coppin is an International Investment Consultant who has worked in the financial services industry for over 10 years. He has worked from London, Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai. He was headhunted by Austen Morris Associates Shanghai, and has progressed from an Associate to Partner in four years. (William became a Partner in August 2014). William specialises in helping his international clients to invest in diverse portfolios including equites, bonds, commodities, currencies and alternative assets including real estate, private equity and structured products.
William Coppin is an established financial consultant with a proven track record in wealth management. He combines a unique approach of strategic planning and results driven financial management.William’s career began as a registered investment advisor for a boutique City of London investment firm in 2003.During this time he honed his skills and experience in investment management.
After 5 years in the City of London his career took him overseas with Williams first posting in international wealth management being in the United Arab Emirates from 2008-2011.
In 2008 William was head hunted by Austen Morris Associates to lead the expansion of the China businesses in Beijing and Shanghai. Austen Morris Associates is one of the largest and well-respected Wealth Management companies in China. So his decision to take this role as a financial consultant allowed him to use his innovative approach whilst being given the support of the established management team at Austen Morris. As a result of his achievements within the company and ongoing client service and results driven track record, William was made partner on August 2014.
His informed, diligent and analytical approach has resulted in gaining the trust of a worldwide client base from senior management and executives in Fortune 500 companies including Ernst & Young, BP, Schneider Electric, Astra Zeneca, Towers Watson to name a few.
Over the last two years, William has been increasingly involved in expanding the company in China and beyond and is an active member of the Austen Morris Associates investment committee. He is also a regular contributor of the weekly financial column ‘Money Matters’.
