It was a cultural and culinary experience designed for one night only. Guests of Austen Morris Associates were welcomed inside the most famous architectural gem of the historic Shanghai skyline. The first port of call was the bar at Jean Georges, where bar manger Rodriguez treated guests to cocktails accompanied by nibbles from the kitchen of Jean Georges. The evening then took off with a tour of the building itself including a visit to the Evian Spa, the Whampoa Club and the Shanghai Gallery of Arts hosting the exhibition “What a difference a day can make,” by contemporary artist Michael Lin. After the gallery and visit to the wine cellar a uniquely composed menu paired with selection of wines awaited guests at Jean Georges. The tickling of taste buds continued at the Laris Chocolate Room and the night met its finale with drinks and the inexhaustible night view of the Bund from New Heights.
