Jon Holand became a Senior Partner of Austen Morris Associates in February of 2014 after having worked his way through the company ranks. He currently gives advice to many high net-worth clients in China and other parts of the world on their financial planning needs. He is committed to providing comprehensive advice and creating financial solutions that simplify clients’ lives both now and in the future.
Jon offers wide-ranging financial planning solutions to clients who work for KPMG, Ernst & Young, CBRE, AT Kearney, Exxon Mobil, TNT, Tyco Electronics, Astra Zeneca and International Paper to name a few. Jon keeps his clients abreast of changes in the markets and recommends changes that enhance their investment returns.
Jon manages a considerable team who are instrumental in helping to provide the personalised service with which Austen Morris Associates has become synonymous. It is no wonder that most of Jon’s clients are introduced to him by existing clients. Jon’s belief in providing each client with individualized solutions and first-class service is why he chose to build his career with Austen Morris Associates.
As a member of the Business Standards Committee, Jon is central to the company’s efforts to strengthen and refine the company’s client focus and promote high standards of ethical conduct among management and members of staff.
As a Business Development Manager, Jon successfully manages a team of financial advisors, assisting them with every aspect of the business from building a client base on referrals, to understanding financial products and managing client portfolios.
Jon is licensed as a financial planner in Hong Kong, which gives him the ability to help clients, understand their goals and needs and then provide solutions. Furthermore, his educational background has given him plenty of knowledge about global financial markets, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.
Jon received his Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Politics from the Johns Hopkins University. He holds a Master’s degree in International Economics with a special focus on East Asia from Columbia University. He has also studied at Oxford University, Pembroke College and Waseda University in Tokyo. He is fluent in Norwegian, French and Mandarin and has a reading knowledge of Spanish and Japanese.
Born and raised in Norway, Jon moved to the United States at the age of 14. He moved to China in 2004 and plans to live here indefinitely
