On the 23rd of May 2009, a group of Austen Morris Associates (AMA) and Senior Partner Greg Morris paddled for their lives against 23 of the best of Nanjing’s foreign owned companies in the 9th Sheraton Kingsley Dragon Boat Challenge. “We had a fantastic time, making a bunch of new friends and enjoying the wonderful hospitality of Nanjing,” says Senior Associate Owen Caterer.
Associate Dellon Francis and Owe Caterer captained the team, and co-hosted the event with the Sheraton Kingsley’s Catherine Racsko. Other Austen Morris Assocates (AMA) participants in the dash for glory on Mochu Lake included: Owen and Holly Caterer, Stuart Ross, Aymeric de Boisboissel, Lelio Shimizu, Brent Cowey, Jordan Morley, Scott Morley, Bea Awa and Greg Morris. We were also lucky enough to recruit Tammy, Brooke, Hamish, Bryan Choi, Frederik and Deejay from the Sheraton to join our team. Along with the Sheraton management, Shanghai supporters included Anu Aggarwal, Lucy, Alan and Susan Vassallo, Katie Littlefield, Sarah Stewart, Sara Badler, Vivi, Coco and Senior Partner Stuart Baldwin. Upon return from the race we toasted our achievements with a few rounds of celebratory ale. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time in Nanjing, and we came home both with the trophy for competing as well as the highly coveted “Best Fun Team” award.
