On the 29th of October 2010 at 6.00 o’clock, Austen Morris Associates and our Senior Regional Associate, Mr. Leo Hon joined many other local and international companies to sponsor a Charity Evening at the Nordic lighthouse in Shanghai.
This large-scale charity event benefitted children in China, with all of the proceeds are being donated to Morning Tears and Compassion for Migrant Children. The charity event will include a VIP dinner by David Laris, a fashion show and live and silent auctions. All of guests enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the charity organizations as well as enjoyed the live band and raffle prizes. Alongside Austen Morris Associates, other generous sponsors included the Denmark Expo, Da Marco Restaurant, Catering and Fine Food, Franke, The Nest, Apsara Spa, Cantina Agave, Urban 18, HLD Events, Atlas Olive Oils, Boxing Cat, Ecco, Shanghai Racquet Club, Hin & Johnson, Element Fresh, Dragonfly, Jadset, and Copenhagen Fur.
Thank you to Mr. Hon and all of the sponsors for a wonderful evening.
About the charities:
Morning Tears rebuilds the world for children who lost their own Morning Tears rebuilds the world for children who have suffered or are suffering heavy emotional pain. Focusing on children whose parents are in prison, children whose parents have been sentenced to death, children who have been abused or neglected, orphans, children who haven’t been registered at birth, and thus have no rights and street children.
Compassion for Migrant Children (CMC) is a nonprofit organization founded in early 2006 to help China’s urban migrant children, primarily through offering social and educational programs. We also seek to be a ‘think tank’ for all things related to migrants and migrant issues in China. We collaborate with organizations and individuals who share the common vision of giving every migrant child a future and a hope.
