On April 16th, 2015, Austen Morris Associates’ Senior Partner Jon Holand and a Private Client Seminar and Wine Event in association with Hansard International and MitonOptimal. This was a great opportunity for Austen Morris Associates to not only thank our clients and guests for their patronage, but also introduce them to new investment opportunities. The event was held at the new Rosewood Hotel in the 3rd floor salon.
The speaker of the evening was Philip Penrose. Phil is MitonOptimal’s Director for International Sales, with 19 years industry experience, having previously worked for Zurich and Swiss Life across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Phil has an honours degree in Financial Services from the University of the West of England, and holds the full Financial Planning Certificate from the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute.
The topic of the evening was UK Value & Why the Future is Small. As investors, all over the world, seek to mitigate downside risk while simultaneously generating growth, we explained how investing in a carefully targeted blend of UK value & UK smaller company stocks provides an attractive solution. We also explained why we believe we are at the beginning of multi-year period of small company outperformance.
