On Thursday 12th April 2012, Senior Partners Wade Dawson and Erwin Verschueren, with Senior Regional Associate, Bill Longstreet, hosted 40 clients and guests at SWITCH! Grill in downtown Beijing for a private client dinner. Guests on the evening were treated to a sumptuous four course organic menu prepared especially by Chef Heinz and his team. In addition, Matthew Bahen & Campbell Thompson of The Wine Republic handpicked the wines to be paired with each course, choosing two bio-dynamic wineries for the evening, namely; Loimer and Seresin wines. Guests were also treated to a special appearance by winemaker Fred Loimer who joined the evening and provided an insight in to the wines served during the course of the evening as well as the bio dynamic process in producing such wines.
The evening was a fun and social gathering in appreciation of our clients. Austen Morris Associates also gave away a dinner for two people to Grange on Tuesday 17th April in Beijing for the Chi Fan for Charity and Napa Valley Vintner culinary event that is taking simultaneously across five restaurants on the night. The lucky winner of the evening was Sarah Keenlyside of Bespoke Beijing. Founder of Chi Fan for Charity, Michael Crain did the lucky draw on the night of the event and presented Sarah with her prize.
The evening ended with a crème fraiche cheesecake; spicy mango salsa and passionfruit icecream. This delectable dish was paired with a Mount Langi Possito Riesling 2004 (Seresin Wines).
