Private Client Dinner at the Shanghai EDITION

On the 12th of September 2018, Austen Morris Associates’ Senior Partner Jon Holand was delighted to host another successful Private Client Dinner (PCD) at the newly-opened Shanghai EDITION Hotel.

EDITION Hotels are created and designed through a partnership between Marriott International and hotelier Ian Schrager. Schrager first gained fame through co-founding the New York City disco nightclub Studio 54 in the late ’70s. He now helps create really gorgeous, hip boutique hotels throughout the world.

We started the evening on the 29th floor at the “Roof Garden” bar, welcoming our guests with a sparkling reception. Guests had the opportunity to network, relax, and take in the lush green surroundings while enjoying some of the city’s most spectacular views.
Following the rooftop reception, our guests were treated to a perfectly crafted 4 Course Meal at the “The Tavern” restaurant, overseen by world-renowned Executive Chef Scott Melvin.

The menu was flawlessly executed and very well received, starting with an amuse-bouche, a Truffle and Monterey Jack toastie, followed by an appetizing Prawn cocktail, lobster jelly, avocado, and crispy shallots dish. The star of the show was the main course, “Tournedos Rossini’ a mouthwatering beef mignon served with creamed spinach; the meal was finished off with a decadent sweet surprise. All dishes were complimented perfectly with selected imported wine, a red wine from France – E.Guigal Cotes Du Rhone Rouge and white from Australia- Yalumba ’Y’ Chardonnay.

On an evening like this, Austen Morris Associates celebrates the opportunity to strengthen our personal relationships with our existing clients and establish new relationships with the friends and business associates who joined as guests of our clients.

Thank you to all the clients and their guests who joined us for this unforgettable evening. We look forward to hosting our next Private Client Dinner soon.
