Private Client Dinner At Capo

Private Client Dinner At Capo 1200 800 AMA Team

On April 15th, 2015, Austen Morris Associates’ Senior Partner Jon Holand hosted a Private Client Wine Dinner associated with Hansard International and MitonOptimal. This was an excellent opportunity for Austen Morris Associates to thank our clients and guests for their patronage and provide them with a fantastic meal. The event was held at the Capo with its beautiful terrace hosting guests to canapés and a welcome glass of bubbles before all guests gathered in the private dining room.
At Capo, the centrepiece of the restaurant is a twin oven constructed with imported brick and mortar by an Italian artisan and his apprentice son. Cuts of meat are placed on small cast iron grills, shoved into the oven. The experienced chef, Enzo Carbone, has developed a sterling reputation in Shanghai for his authentic Neapolitan style pizzas.
In the private dining room, our guests were provided with a custom-designed special four-course dinner. The slow-cooked, wood-fired Black Angus Strip Loin went perfectly paired with the Italian Tramonto Rosso Sangiovese. All attendees’ delicious food inspired discussion allowed us to share some of our latest investment opportunities available.
The speaker of the evening was Philip Penrose. Phil is MitonOptimal’s Director for International Sales, with 19 years of industry experience, having previously worked for Zurich and Swiss Life across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Phil has an honours degree in Financial Services from the University of the West of England and holds the full Financial Planning Certificate from the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute.
The topic of the evening was UK Value & Why the Future is Small. As investors worldwide seek to mitigate downside risk while simultaneously generating growth, we explained how investing in a carefully targeted blend of UK value & UK smaller company stocks provides an attractive solution. We also explained why we believe we are beginning a multi-year period of small company outperformance.
