AMA Private Client Dinner at the Banyan Tree

On the evening of Wednesday the 29th of May 2019, Austen Morris Associates‘ Senior Partners Jon Holand & William Coppin, along with Managing Senior Partner, James Colclough had the pleasure to host another world-class Private Client Dinner, this time at the prestigious Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund Hotel, an urban retreat located in the heart of the city’s most scenic and iconic Bund location.

With an impressive skyline view from the waterfront boulevard, which runs alongside the Huangpu River, this is one of the city’s most photographed scenes. This was a fantastic opportunity to thank some existing clients for their long term partnerships and also for them to introduce potential new clients to Austen Morris Associates.

The evening started with our guests enjoying a Champagne reception and canapes at TOPS, a rooftop bar like no other. The bar includes a rooftop terrace with a glamorous panorama of the Bund and Huangpu River, which allowed our guests to relax and mingle together whilst admiring the stunning Lujiazui and Bund views.

We enjoyed special guests  Giles Boeree Regional Sales Director  & Gideon Nell, Global Head of Distribution for Sanlam Global Investment Solutions, who gave our guests an interesting presentation on Artificial Intelligence and how this is transforming the investment landscape.

Following the reception and presentation, our clients and guests were guided to an exclusive private dining room on the TOPS terrace to enjoy a four-course culinary event. The menu was perfectly crafted by Executive Chef Stephane Puverel and paired with specially selected fine wines.

The evening’s culinary experience commenced with a delicate pan-seared Foie Gras, aged balsamico, toasted brioche & fig jam followed by an outstanding Duck Rillette & Summer greens with a Snow Peas & Black Mushroom Velouté. The star of the evening was the main course; succulent slow-cooked Australian Beef Tenderloin served with Baby Carrots, Romanesco Broccoli, Barley Risotto & and light Beet Vinaigrette. Our guests enjoyed a decadent Chocolate Tart, orange jelly, meringue bites & vanilla cream to end the meal.

With stellar views, fantastic food, engaging investment insight and impeccable service throughout the evening, guests were treated to an outstanding and memorable event and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We look forward to hosting many more Private Client Dinners soon.
