Client Dinner at CAPO with Capital Platforms and Sovereign Trust

Thank you to all of the guests who attended the Austen Morris Associates Private Client Wine Dinner at CAPO on Wednesday 5th June 2013 from 7:00pm onwards.
The speakers of the evening included the founder of Capital Platforms, Justin Barrett and the business development manager for Sovereign Trust (Hong Kong) Ltd, Yuseff Murphy. Yuseff heads up the company’s pension related services in Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and Japan. Born in Ireland and educated in England he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies from the University of Surrey. He has worked in company formation, both onshore and offshore, for four years having worked for Sovereign Trust in Abu Dhabi and now Hong Kong. Yuseff heads up and specialises in the pension related products that Sovereign provide and speaks widely on these issues around the region.
Justin Barrett is the former Senior Vice President of Lloyds TSB and Coutts Private Bank. Born in the UK, Justin moved to Asia in 1998 whilst employed by Lloyds TSB where he headed up the expatriate Private Banking Team. He then moved to Coutts to establish their expatriate desk before leaving to form Capital Platforms. Capital Platforms is a Singapore based provider of platform solutions to the Financial Services Industry. With offices in the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and soon Dubai, they provide solutions to 75 Companies and over 1500 financial intermediaries in Asia, Middle East, Western Europe and Africa. First established in 2002, Capital Platforms (formerly known as Boston Direct Management) was one of the first companies in the offshore fund platform arena. Justin is the CEO and owner of Capital Platforms.
The dinner was hosted at CAPO, one of Shanghai’s newest bund favorites. Executive chef Enzo Carbone (of Issimo and Matto) developed an impressive reputation in Shanghai for his authentic Neapolitan style pizzas. Now he’s applying that expertise to steaks and chops at Capo. The centerpiece of the restaurant is a twin oven constructed with imported brick and mortar by an Italian artisan and his apprentice son. The menu of the night offered a vast selection of unique Italian dishes and wine pairings by The Wine Republic.
