On behalf of the Client Services Department and Austen Morris Associates we would like to thank all of our guests and sponsors for attending the Private Client Dinner in association with Capital Platforms and IDAD on Wednesday 14th August 2013 from 7:00pm onwards at Kathleen’s Waitan. The evening was a great opportunity for Austen Morris Associates to not only thank our clients and partners for their patronage, but also provide guests with some of the latest investment news and opportunities available. A special thank you to the founder of Capital Platforms, Justin Barrett and Ed Birkbeck, Investment Design and Distribution (IDAD) for their sponsorship.
The speaker of the evening was Ed Birkbeck, from Investment Design and Distribution, who presented on structured notes, their opportunities and versatility. He has been involved in offshore financial services for over 15 years, dealing with both retail and institutional clients. IDAD was established in 2002 to market structured products to a Financial Intermediaries and institutions around the world. Structured products can provide a wide variety of investment opportunities and offer the level of versatility not often found with the more traditional investments.
Kathleen’s was a fantastic venue for this occasion and all guests enjoyed the view, company of both Austen Morris Associates staff and guests, as well as a formal dinner and drinks. A cocktail reception welcomed guests who were treated to a glass of sparkling where they also indulged in canapés such as Iberico Ham Wraps with Green Olive Pesto on Grissini and Grilled Medjoul Date and Blue Cheese Bites. The highlight was certainly the Foie Gras Canapé with Moscato Gelée. Following the cocktail reception, guests took their seats for the more formal part of the evening and were welcomed by Senior Partner, Jon Holand. The first course was a Spicy Tuna Roll followed by a Lemongrass and Kaffir Lime Steamed Norwegian Salmon with Citrus Sauce, Arugula Salsa Verde, Vine Ripe Tomato. Prior to the main course of Black Face Suffolk Lamb Rump with Roasted Potato, Grilled Vegetable Salad, Goat Cheese Toast, and Black Prune Red Wine Sauce, Ed Birkbeck presented on Structured products. The evening was rounded out with dessert of Mango Pannacotta with Osmanthus Honey Goji Berry Sorbet and Fresh Fruit, tea and coffee.
