On Saturday 25th February, Austen Morris Associates sponsored the Community Center Shanghai’s 123 Orientation at their Pudong facility in Jinqiao. The last SH 123 Orientation before they resume in August 2012 was represented by Senior Partner Mr. Wade Dawson and Client Services Manager Miss. Kelly Olver to provide financial advice to new expats. Over 15 new guests registered to join the event where speakers provided an intensive half-day orientation program for new arrivals – most of which had only arrived to live in Shanghai in the last month.
Both supporting spouses and expatriate employees gained knowledge in adapting to the dynamic lifestyle of Shanghai. Community presenters from a variety of organizations provided crucial information on many things you need to know about getting settled, adjusting to the Chinese culture & dynamic lifestyle of Shanghai, navigating the medical environment, understanding the workplace culture, avoiding common problems that affect internationals, and much more. Their goal of the day was to prepare you to have a successful and enjoyable assignment. All guests enjoyed learning about how Austen Morris Associates can assist with their financial concerns and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
