Austen Morris Associates was proud to be the main sponsor for the Brits Abroad Charity Quiz Night held on September 22, 2007. More than 150 people attended the Brits Abroad Quiz Night event at the Yeeha’s Bar & Grill. The event raised over 58,000 rmb that is being donated to ‘The Smile Train’ and ‘Animals Asia Foundation’.
Brits Abroad did a superb job of organizing the event that included an auction of a portrait and prize draws of hotel stays and air tickets. Austen Morris Associates Partner, Alan Vassallo, presented the prizes to the winning teams.
Everyone had a delightful time socializing, participating in the quiz challenge, and supporting the charity.
About the Charities:
Smile Train is dedicated to helping the millions of children in the world who suffer from cleft lip and palate through free surgery for children, and free training for doctors. Since 1999, we have provided free cleft surgery for more than 700,000 children who could not afford it. We have helped support hundreds of cleft treatment, training and education programs in more than 80 countries, and provide free resources for cleft care professionals around the world. At the heart of all of our programs is the fundamental belief that local doctors can be empowered to help the children of their communities.
Founded by Jill Robinson in 1998, Animals Asia Foundation is devoted to the welfare of wild and urban animals in Asia. We also work towards the conservation of endangered species.
Animals Asia is an Asian-focused registered charity with headquarters in Hong Kong and offices in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, the UK and USA, as well as Moon Bear Rescue Centres in China and Vietnam. We have around 270 staff worldwide.
