Austen Morris Associates returns to sponsor the 7th Brawl on the Bund 165 120 AMA Team

White Collar Boxing has returned to Shanghai, holding the seventh Brawl on the Bund at the Hyatt on the Bund this past Saturday, June 15th. Now limited to an audience of 50 tables of 10 people, this exclusive event featured a cocktail reception, a four course meal, cabaret performances, and finally seven fights between white collar boxers from all over Shanghai.
Evan Rodriguez, an Austen Morris Business Development Coordinator, audaciously participated in the event, putting up an inspiring fight.
The event raised a grand total of 309,000 RMB, more than tripling the proceeds earned at the last Brawl on the Bund installation in December, 2012. The entire amount went to two amazing charities: Sport for All and Leo’s Foundation. Sport for All is a foundation that promotes fitness, health, teamwork, and inclusiveness to Shanghai children through organized sports. Sport for All is a unique and appropriate beneficiary for this event, as they are continually trying to access better facilities/equipment to offer a wider range of sports and games for the children. Leo’s Foundation is an organization that directs its efforts to newborns with respiratory failure. The foundation was established in 2008 in memory of Leo Spirit, after Leo and his twin brother Tomas were born 3 months prematurely, but despite the best efforts and care they received at Fudan Children’s Hospital, Leo passed away due to respiratory failure. Leo’s parents, Scott and Cecile Spirit, launched the foundation in his memory, to help children who suffer from respiratory failure and contribute to their families who may not be able to afford the treatment.
Thank you again to all of the sponsors of the evening who contributed to such a memorable event and congratulations to all of the White Collar Boxers who have been training for months.
