Thank you to all guests who joined Austen Morris Associates at Chi Fan for Charity Beijing on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 hosted by Head of Marketing, Katie Littlefield at the famous MOSTO in Sanlitun. The table was overbooked with twelve guests enjoying the 4 course dinner while drinking delicious wines all donated by MOSTO for Charity!
Chi Fan for Charity Beijing is the origional event; which all started back in 2009 when Michael Crain had a desire to do good while doing something he was good at (eating). Chi Fan for Charity was created shortly after and has now spread to three cities and has raised over 2.3 million RMB thus far. This year, Chi Fan for Charity Beijing hosted tables at 58 of the most amazing venues in the city and included over 700 diners. Following the dinners, guests danced the night away at Hatsune in Sanlitun Village. Katie Littlefield of Austen Morris Associates celebrated good eats for good causes and hosted a table at Mosto.
This year, Chi Fan for Charity Beijing will donate 100% of the raised funds to two philanthropies, the Little Flower Projects and Educating Girls of Rural China. Little Flower Projects focuses on providing specialized care to abandoned infants and nurturing the growth and education of older disabled orphans. They operate in Beijing and Taiyuan, but the children come from all across China. Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) was founded in 2005 and is a registered Canadian charity. In 8 years EGRC has raised funds and sponsored 324 young women from poverty stricken rural regions of Gansu, Guizhou and Qinghai Provinces in western China to receive a university education. We are excited to announce that this year’s Chi Fan for Charity Beijing raised of 450,000 RMB for these two beneficiaries!
