On October 29th, the Austen Morris Associates join the Community Center Shanghai for its first annual Charity LINK Fair held at the beautiful Hilton Hotel in Shanghai. The fair was a chance for active charities in Shanghai to learn about other organizations as well as spread the word about the work they do for the community. Additionally, it provided a chance for those who are interested in volunteering to see the opportunities there are in Shanghai to be involved in charity work. Austen Morris Associates, as a sponsor of Community Center Shanghai and a CSR Member of LINK has been involved in all Charity LINK events since its beginnings.
At this year’s fair, Chi Fan for Charity, organised by Austen Morris Associates, showed their support for this year’s beneficiaries, Heart to Heart Shanghai, Home Sweet Home and the Renewal Center, as well as other charities across Shanghai.
This event allowed the charities to work together to maximize charitable efforts throughout Shanghai and find potential Chi Fan for Charity beneficiaries for future events. We are excited to be involved with the Community Center Shanghai’s Charity LINK and look forward to future events!
With the evolving Shanghai international community, there is a great need for up to date and accurate information about on-the-ground charities and NGO’s. The Community Center Shanghai (CCS) would like to be this hub of information. We seek to provide the LINK between resources and initiatives. We are the first stop for volunteers, funding resources and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to find out what is happening and which project they choose to support. This direct LINK between resources and on-the-ground initiatives can make the greatest impact for charities and NGO’s and target their needs most directly.
