Thank you to all guests who attended the Private Client Dinner at Capital M hosted by Austen Morris Associates and IP Global on Thursday, 31 May 2012. Despite the early evening showers, guests were able to enjoy Champagne cocktails and canapés on Capital M’s infamous terrace whilst enjoying the view of Qianmen by night. Once seated for dinner, guests enjoyed a four course menu (which was especially designed for the event) that included white asparagus with soft boiled egg, house-cured Gravlax Torchon of Foie Gras and Crispy Soft Shell Crab to start, followed by a gazpacho presented two ways – the original ‘ajo blanco’ and a modern ‘Sevillian’ red. Main courses for the evening included King Prawns cooked in the Catalan Way with Chorizo sausage, white beans, tomatoes & saffron served with garlic toasts and Romesco sauce or a slowly baked, salt-encased, selected Leg of Lamb with roast potatoes, baked garlic, crispy crumbed lamb’s brains ….and a cucumber, radish and black olive salad. To Finish, Capital M served its famous Nisha’s Mille Feuille fine filo biscuits layered with sweet baked cream drizzled with butterscotch sauce and scattered with praline along with tea, coffee and petit fours. Wines paired with the meal included a Sauvignon Blanc and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Angoves Winery, 2010, South Australia.
Although the focus of the evening was social, there was a short presentation by Tim Murphy of IP Global.
